For the last few days, I have been under the weather with a fever of 102.9 and flu-like symptoms (chills, night sweats, achey, terrible headaches). My incision has been healing fast, but I got mastitis (a breast infection) this week. I got mastitis with Sophia too but not until she was 4 months old and it was way more painful. Luckily I had already scheduled an appointment with Dr. Rhee to check on my incision, so she was also able to prescribe antibiotics to help clear the breast infection. Hopefully I will feel better soon - fortunately you are healthy (and very hungry).
Since we got home from the hospital, you feed every 2-2.5 hours during the day but then sleep for a 4-5 hour stretch during the night. As a result, Daddy and I are not total zombies because we are getting some sleep at night. I try to feed you around 11PM and then top you off with a bottled of expressed breastmilk to make sure you are full. I change your diaper and swaddle you so that you are nice and comfy for bedtime. This seems to be working out well so far!
