Sunday BBQ

Today we were invited to a birthday party at the Brooklyn Childrens Museum followed by a BBQ - it was your first party! The party was for one of Sophia's playmates named Kai; his parents, Randi and Lars, own the local kids store in Dumbo called Half Pint. Sophia had lots of fun at the Museum - she even got to pet a gecko, snake (boa) and a green iguana. Someday you'll be able to join in the fun but for now you were content to be breastfed and napping while the party was going on.
After the Museum activities, we drove to the Columbia Waterfront for a BBQ to continue the celebration. You and I mostly hung out on the terrace feeding and relaxing while Sophia played with Kai's toys and some of the other kids. Sophia had fun driving Kai's mini-Mercedes - nice wheels! From the deck, there was a lovely view of downtown Manhattan - we could also see the Statue of Liberty. And here is Daddy showing you the nice view! You slept during most of the BBQ, and everyone was surprised that we were out and about when you are only 9 days old!
p.s. Today is also Granny's birthday so Daddy called to wish Granny a Happy Birthday!
