Today we had your birthday party. You share the same birthday as halmoni and you were lucky enough to have her and haraboji visit us in New York for both of your birthdays.
We started out with a nice lunch at Ippudo - the Japanese ramen restaurant.
Then we headed to Little Gym for your party. This is your favorite place to go. It's all padded and you can run around and burn off all kinds of excess energy. And in keeping in true form you immediately cracked your head on something; another kid. I missed it but you apparently bonked heads with another girl. Your teeth met her forehead. She had a nice tooth shaped divot on her forehead and you had a nasty case of bleeding gums. But unlike your normal bangs this one left you shaken for quite a while. In the video you'll see you were quite teary and didn't want to leave mommy until about half an hour after the bang.
After that you were fine and you had a great time at the party.
When we got home we opened your presents. Your big present was a Star Wars nerf gun. But you liked almost everything you received. Lots of cars and train things and another gun that shoots a dragon. Cool. Happy 3rd birthday Caden!
