- You love love love Thomas the Train. It is all you want to play with. It is all you want to watch on TV. It is all you want to read. Sophia was like you but her obsession was Elmo first and then Dora. This makes it quite easy for us to shop for you.
- You are still an excellent sleeper. I usually put you down at night and we go through a ritual. I brush your teeth, change your diaper, and then ask you what you want to take to bed. The answer is, of course, Thomas the Train. You have maybe 6-7 Thomas trains. Then I put you into the crib and we go through the ABCs. "The A says..." "Ahhhh" "The B says.. "Buhh". You can do most of them. Only the C and the Y are giving you problems. And the Q is just plain hard for you to say. Then I give you the train and your Ugly Doll and you are good to go until 6:45AM or so. You are like clockwork.
- You are finally over your hitting phase. For about 6 months you were a bit of a brute. Hitting, pushing, and grabbing things from others. Especially Sophia. To the point where she was a bit scared of you. After I while it drove me crazy and we started putting you into the crib as soon as it started. You sat there crying for about 10 minutes before we finally let you come out. That ended that. You haven't hit anyone in a while.
- You said your first full sentence recently. "I want that one" That's how you get things you want. You still have very sloppy diction and it's hard for us to figure out what you are saying most of the time. Instead of "Ugly doll" you say "uh doh" which is a pretty common way for kids to pronounce multisyllabic words. Sophia was way ahead of you when she was this age but don't worry. Both Richard Feynman and Alfred Einstein didn't say a word until they were 3 years old.
- You prefer drinking milk to eating food. In fact you would just drink milk all day if you could. Recently we've stopped giving you milk in the middle of the day. You get a bottle in the morning. And one before bed time. Other than that you need to eat food or water to fill yourself up. You are getting a little better. For as big as you are we are not sure how you eat so little.
- You are quite a funny kid. Sophia didn't get a sense of humor until much later. But you know what makes people laugh and do funny little thing all the time to get a reaction out of us.
- You are quite friendly. You like going up to strangers and smiling or saying hello. Its rare that we see you shy around people like Sophia sometimes gets.
