After Sophia got her hair cut this weekend we went to the NY Science Museum in Queens. They had a couple of rocket ships outside.
First we stopped in the cafeteria to refuel.
Sophia was a silly girl.
After lunch we headed through the exhibits. You loved the smoke tornado they had there. This was the big hit though. Big rings you could dip into a soapy solution and make huge bubbles. Too hard for you to do it but fun to watch.
They had a funny hallway filled with distorted mirrors.
This room took a video of whoever was in the room and made a delayed motion video of the people and colorized it. That's Sophia and me.
Daddy did a levitating magic trick.
You checked out the polarizers. Ice, you found out, polarizes light.
And you found out how many molecules are in your body (answer: a lot!)
Both of you had a great time playing with a lot of mazes and nerf balls that shot through them with compressed air.
Bernoulii's Principle.
You have always been fascinated with vacuum cleaners.
There was also a little play area that we hung out in for a while.
Overall we were pretty impressed. We'll have to keep coming back here so you can learn more.
