Princeton Kiddie Concert

Today we drove down to Princeton for a playdate with Gordon and Mari. Daddy had the day off since he needed a break after spending a whole week alone with you two. Sophia had a fun day playing with Gordon while Rehana, Damon and I caught up while watching Mari and you. In the afternoon, we went to a kiddie music concert by Gordon’s music teacher at his school, Alex & the Kaleidoscope Band.

We had to wait for the band to start so Sophia tried to squeeze onto my lap with you.

Gordon passed out in Rehana’s lap as the first few songs were playing. Sophia had fun bopping around and copying whatever the pink lady was doing. Maybe she will grow up to be a singer someday!

Sophia also danced with Mari – so cute!

When we got back to Rehana’s house, we had some snacks before dinner. Gordon and Sophia had a special drink – fizzy apple cranberry juice. Cheers!

After dinner, we had some time to run around outside before bathtime. Sophia loved climbing up the wall and sliding down.

You were content hanging out in the baby swing.

Damon also brought out a fun balloon launcher – Gordon and Sophia took turns letting the air out of the balloon and chasing them. Two got stuck in the tree branches so we had to call it quits.

Finally it was bathtime before heading home. Gordon had fun washing Sophia's hair while she played with the Dora bathtoys.

Then Sophia had a major meltdown after I pulled her out of the bathtub. She was overtired (no nap this afternoon) and she did not want the fun day to end. We waited downstairs in the kitchen until she blew off enough steam. After a few more minutes of screaming and crying, she recovered and was back to normal. Once we were in the car driving home, both of you were fast asleep. What a fun day!
