100-Day BBQ Celebration

This afternoon, we celebrated your 100th Day (known as ‘baek-ill’ in Korean) at our rental house. Hal-mo-ni prepared a lot of Korean food for all of our family who lives in LA. Before everyone came over for dinner, Sophia went swimming with Sara and Scott at the country club nearby. And they watched a Dora DVD while waiting for everyone to arrive. When everyone started to arrive, Sophia got a bit scared by all of the attention and hid. I found Sophia sitting in the empty bathtub. How funny! She found a safe place to get away from everyone. Luckily, Hal-ah-bo-ji was able to leave the hospital for a few hours to attend your party. Hal-mo-ni prepared lots of food for everyone – before we started to eat, we took some photos. Everyone enjoyed a nice dinner together, and we ate all of the kalbi and Korean side dishes. There were so many desserts too – fruit salad, watermelon, Korean rice cakes (traditional food to celebrate your baek-ill), banana bread and cakes too.
