Last Saturday early in the morning, we flew to Salt Lake City, Utah. Fortunately I booked us 3 first class seats so we were quite comfortable. You fell asleep on Daddy mid-flight after watching videos on Daddy's iphone.
Daddy made you a mohawk while you were sleeping. How funny.

Our flight arrived on time and we rented a car to drive to Deer Valley. Our friends were out skiing and both of you fell asleep in the car, so we dropped our stuff in the condo and ran a few errands - lunch, Walmart and Whole Foods for groceries. In the afternoon, since it was relatively warm outside, we played in the outdoor swimming pools with a waterslide. Sophia was quite daring and enjoyed sliding down into the pool (though she tumbled under the water a few times). You also enjoyed riding down the waterslide with me, and I tried to keep your head above water.
On Sunday, we went skiing - Daddy and I were impressed with Sophia's skiing. This is Sophia's second year of skiing at Deer Valley - last year, she had 1-hour private lessons while in ski school. This year, in ski school, the instructor took Sophia and another kid out for 2.5 hours each day.

Sophia was fearless on her skis!

After skiing, we went back to the condo for apres-ski. Sophia and Caroline played with some toys while you ran around the house with Jeffrey.

You are still too young for ski school so you just played in the daycare center all day long. You enjoyed playing with Jeffrey and Caroline after bath time. Here you are coloring with them.

The next day, it was another sunny day. We found Sophia on the bunny hill and rode up on the chairlift behind her. This time Sophia's instructor took them on a longer chairlift up to the blue (intermediate) runs.

Check out Sophia - WOW!

After watching Sophia go down the blue run, Daddy and I took off for another chairlift. It was another great day of Spring skiing.

After skiing, Sophia, Jeffrey and Caroline did some art projects - Aimee brought some painting sets. What fun!

For two nights, we hired a babysitter (Jackie) to watch the kids while the parents went out to dinner on Main Street in Park City. Sophia and Jeffrey were happy to watch DVDs while we went out.

On Thursday after two days of fresh snow fell, we skied through the trees - it was an amazing time finding our way down the hill through tall trees with no one else around us.

Check out how steep this hill was!

Overall it was a great week of Spring skiing. Before we headed to the airport, we took a few family shots on the deck. We'll probably return to Deer Valley next year too!

Daddy will also post some videos of Sophia skiing later.
