Today is New Years Day. We didn't do anything special last night. New Years Eve is not a big deal in our family. Mommy went next door to a little dinner party. I was feeling a little under the weather so I went to be early. You went down at your normal time and Sophia for some reason was up until late. I was too tired to take care of her.
This afternoon we went out for brunch to Chinatown Brasserie which is the only decent place in the city to get dim sum. As we pulled up Sophia noticed this car outside. "Look look" she said. It looks like a bull car. It even has horns.
Chinatown Brassier is a pretty cool restaurant. They have a little moat down stairs with Koi fish (carp). Sophia just loved looking at them.
They are ugly fish but have pretty colors.
We couldn't get her away from them. Finally after we were seated I had to drag her back up
And upstairs they have lots of pretty colors everywhere.
Mommy waited with you while I was chaperoning Sophia downstairs.
The one thing mommy said we had to order was noodles. Apparently it is good luck to do this on the new year.
Sophia enjoyed eating the noodles and just loved the sticky rice. We had to order another round just for her.
You unfortunately still couldn't eat anything. So you had some milk.
Mommy could not take a good shot of Sophia because she always does this awful smile where she squints. So I decided to squint too.
Happy New Year everyone!
