Cold Day at Bronx Zoo

Today is the day after Thanksgiving, also known as Black Friday since many retailers offer special discounts for the holidays. Instead of joining all of the crowds shopping, we decided to go to the Bronx Zoo. While Daddy worked a half-day, we played around the house in the morning and picked Daddy up from the office.

Since it was freezing cold outside, the zoo was not super-crowded. We bundled Sophia and you in your strollers and headed to see all of the animals. Sophia requested to see the penguins and giraffes. First stop was the deer - as we were walking by, two deers were fighting (like in the movie Bambi).

Next stop were the tigers. They were amazing to watch as they wandered in front of the viewing windows.

After the tigers, we watched the penguins being fed.

Sophia was hungry too so she munched on some popcorn.

You were hungry too!

Last stop was the giraffes. On the way there, we stopped in the gift shop to warm up and to buy Sophia a new hat to keep her ears toasty.

After the giraffes, we decided to head home because it was getting dark and even colder. Both Sophia and you passed out in your strollers. One last shot of Daddy and Sophia in front of the Holiday Lights.
