Battery Park

Today we had breakfast with Carol's friends Todd and Tameron. They of course wanted to see you. After that we walked down to Battery Park because I've never really spent much time there and I really love the old streets in that section of town.

The first pictures is of you on your new stroller with Sophia. You lie down and Sophia stands on the back.

In the pictures you'll see we walked by the New York Stock Exchange which has a big American flag on it. Next to the exchange is the Federal Hall National Memorial building. This is the building where George Washington (there's a statue of him out front) took the oath of office as our first President, and this site was home to the first Congress, Supreme Court, and Executive Branch offices. It's quite pretty down there. It's quiet compared to the rest of Manhattan and the streets are at oblique angles and are very small.

We also saw the bull sculpture. The bull is a symbol for Wall Street. Everyone likes taking pictures from the back side because all his naughty bits are there.

Then we headed to the park where Sophia ran through the water and you took a nap. The Blue Angels flew through which scared me at first. The fountain was a lot of fun and Sophia was able to cool off. Daddy unfortunately was burning up. We walked a little farther down to the Staten Island Ferry building so mommy could feed you and I could cool off. After that we made our way home. What a fun day. Oh yea we had Bon Bon Chicken for dinner!
